Renaming a Location

Note: This feature is available only to users with administrative permissions.

Rename a location when its current name does not accurately identify the physical place the location represents.

After a location is renamed, all product assignments to the location are automatically updated with the new name.

To rename a location:

Starting at the Location Tree page (How do I get there?), do the following:

Find and select the location you want to rename. (If a location shows a plus (+) next to its name, you can click its name to open its immediate sub-locations.)
In the box on the left, click Rename.

The location's current name appears in a New Location Name field.
In the New Location Name field, enter the location's new name.
Click Save.

The location is saved with its new name. All product assignments to the location are now updated with the new name.
